Energy storage systems in Spain are a key element in the fight against climate change, as they help us to address the challenge of the energy transition. The Qianyuan Smart Storage 20MWh system marked its first external exhibition debut at SNEC 2025, where a product launch event and certification ceremony were held. Adopting a modular integration design, the system achieves a single-container capacity of 20MWh and a design lifespan of 25 years, leading the global industry.
Spanish solar PV generator manufacturer Nomad Solar Energy, a subsidiary of solar power plant project developer Lone Lighthouse, has launched a line of containerized mobile solar PV generators.
With more than 20,000 megawatts, Spain is the country with the largest number of energy storage systems in Europe measured by power, and has the second largest number of projects: 128 in total; second only to Germany's 169.
