In a statement on Tuesday, March 25, Manila Water noted that it has upgraded the power supply in its Balara pumping stations 1 and 2 in Quezon City through smart power meters, which help provide stable and uninterrupted power.
“The energization of the Upper Wawa Pumping Station is an important step for the bulk water project towards securing reliable water supply in the long-term.
“In addition to improving water conveyance, Manila Water has made significant improvements to one of its water treatment plants. The company has optimized Balara treatment plant 2 by rehabilitating its underdrain system, replacing effluent valves, and restoring the filter beds,” it stated.
