There are standards to address the power quality problem in power systems, e.g., IEEE Std 1453 and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC)/TR 61000-3-7. In addition, IEEE Std 1547-2018 is designed to avoid or mitigate some adverse impacts on power quality that might be caused by DERs.
Some examples of international standards for power quality measurement include those that classify measurement methods and instrument capabilities into Class A and S. Class A is considered more reliable for power quality measurement.
