The Battery Energy Storage System Guidebook contains information, tools, and step-by-step instructions to support local governments managing battery energy storage system development in their communities.
In order to submit a complete permit application for a new battery energy storage system, the applicant must include: a) Completed Application form. b) Construction Documents, with listed attachments. Construction Documents must be stamped and signed by a New York State Licensed Professional Engineer. General Requirements
Once all permits to construct the battery energy storage system installation have been issued and the system has been installed, it must be inspected before final approval is granted for the battery energy storage system.
