Black Mountain Energy Storage is currently seeking to lease or purchase land to build battery energy storage facilities. A property needs to be at least 5-10 acres and located near or adjacent to existing electric transmission infrastructure in order to comfortably accommodate a battery energy storage facility.
The following permits are the minimum requirements for battery energy storage systems installed with an aggregate energy capacity less than or equal to 600kWh and, if in a room or indoor area, where only a single energy storage system technology is provided. 1. Outdoor installations shall be in accordance with Sections 1206.15.1 through 1206.15.3. Exterior wall installations for individual energy storage system units not exceeding 20 kWh shall be in accordance with Sections 1206.15.3 and 1206.15.4. 1206.15.1 Remote outdoor installations.
